October 9^th-10th, 2014

The 4^th Project Management Board meeting of the project DIDSOLIT-PB was successfully held at Patras, Greece. During this 2-day event critical issues were discussed regarding financial matters as well as rules, procedures and decisions regarding the public procurement/tendering process for purchasing and contracting the equipments and services for carrying out the planned actions-systems-applications. DIDSOLIT-PB project is now ready to move on towards the implementation of the planned decentralized solar energy systems at the pre-selected public buildings described in the following brochure:

Barcelona, the capital of the 1st Solar Energy forum, in the framework of the Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders

November 27^th, 2014

In the framework of the 8th edition of the Mediterranean Week of Economic Leades that will be held from the 26th to the 28th of November, ASCAME and the Chamber of Commerce of Industry and Navigation of Barcelona will organize the 1st Mediterranean Solar Forum on the 27th of November, that analyzes the challenges and opportunities that the Solar Energy Market represents in the Mediterranean Basin. This VIII edition will focus on key aspects essential to the sustainable and inclusive development of the Mediterranean region such as renewable energies and eco-efficiency. This year the focus will be made on Green Economy.

4^th Project Technical Team Meeting at Marsa Matrouh & Alexandria, Egypt

4th-6th March, 2014

The 4^th Project Technical Team Meeting was held from the 4th to the 6th of March in Marsa Matrouh and Alexandria, Egypt, hosted by EAEE and the University of Alexandria. Thirteen Technical Experts and Technical Assistants and two Local Managers were actively involved in the three-day meeting.

On the 18th of January 2014, in Alexandria Hilton Green Plaza hotel, the Alexandria University (AU) and Egyptian Association for Energy and Environment (EAEE) successfully organized and held the first Open Conference in Alexandria for the presentation of the DIDSOLIT-PB project to local Egyptian stakeholders. The Autonomous University of Barcelona succesfully held Local Conference

In the “Casa de Convalescència de l’Hospital de Sant Pau”, in a room with 100 people capacity, the project DIDSOLIT-PB was presented to local Spanish stakeholders. This strategic project, funded by the European Union through its ENPI CBCMED, aims to identify and install decentralized systems for the generation of solar energy in public buildings.

Conference Hall of Patras Science Park, Greece

The local conference for DIDSOLIT-PB organized by the Institute AEIPLOUS, was successfully completed at the premises of Patras Science Park (PSP) on Thursday, 16 January 2014. A large number of researchers, academics and representatives from regional and national stakeholders participated at the conference which focused on the presentation of the project DIDSOLIT-PB and the planning for the application of innovative solar energy technologies in Western Greece as well as the regional policies regarding the use of renewable energy sources at the building sector.
